Senator Tony Munoz (D-Chicago) joined a number of legislators and members of the Pilsen community on Tuesday at The National Museum of Mexican Art to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Pilsen Community Council.
PNCC is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to establish policies and practices in the Pilsen and Southwest areas of Chicago to bring about justice and equity by investing in the development of community leaders and pastors through leadership training and action.
PNCC works with groups or in "core teams" in specific areas of Chicago to organize around education reform, workforce development, healthcare, immigration reform and public safety on local, state and national levels.
