Cook County Treasurer asks residents to check property tax payment status

Individuals who have not updates their mailing address with the Cook County Treasurer's office could be at risk of their property falling into delinquent status due to "undeliverable" tax bills. Cook County Treasurer Maria Pappas is urging homeowners to check their property tax payment status to make sure their property has not unintentionally fallen into delinquency.

There are currently 1,114 individuals in the 1st district whose property is at risk of being included in the 2016 Annual Tax Sale, which begins May 4, 2018.
